This Velcro® material is constructed from mainly NOMEX®, The loop portion is entirely NOMEX® but the the backing of hook portion does contain nylon, which is required for the mechanical properties of the hook & loop tape system. Nylon is simply the only material suitable to make the hook ends of this fastener. This material meets Mil-Spec A-A-55126 rev. B and FAR 25.853(a) and APP. F, Part 1 (a)(1)(ii) (1-1- 11 Edition) but the "weak link" of this material is still the nylon hook portion which will melt at around 480F (249C), therefore direct contact with flame for extended periods of time, may cause this fastener to fail. Cut to order. Note: lengths over 75 feet may not be one continuous piece. No refunds after order is cut.
