These Gnarly Wraps™ Reusable, Custom Pipe, hose and cable Labeling Sleeves
are constructed of 1050 Ballistic Nylon fabric, with a fully enclosed 3mil
laminated colorfast label, sewn into a flame resistant 20 gauge clear vinyl
window, that is Alkali & Acid resistant, and easy to clean with a damp cloth &
common window cleaner if needed.
Reusable closure consists of Industrial Hook &
Loop fastener rated for over 1,000 open and close cycles. Rated for constant
outdoor use, and resistant to ambient temperatures from -40f to 250f. Great for
dirty, grimy, dusty, wet and generally rough industrial locations that make
ordinary "sticker type" pipe labels fall off, or become completely illegible
after a short period of time.
Gnarly Wraps™ Reusable, Custom Labeling Sleeves are ideal for labeling whole
bundles of cables or hoses due to our open wrap, 'peelable' design that makes
installation and removal fast and easy, without requiring disconnection or
removal of any cables and hoses.
Additionally, Gnarly Wraps™ Reusable Pipe Label Sleeves are easy to order
online, with no minimum order quantity, and are fully customizable, allowing you
to choose the exact text and special characters to appear on the label, up to 20

While OSHA does not have Pipe or Hose labeling and marking specifications, OSHA refers to the ANSI/AME A13.1 pipe marking standards for various industries.
Therefore the ANSI/AME A13.1 standard is preferred by OSHA. Pipe labeling falls
into the category of OSHA's General Duty Clause which requires industrial
facilities and employers to provide and maintain a safe workplace.
Failing to properly label pipes and hoses may violate OSHA's General Duty
Clause creating liability for employers and could result in an OSHA citation.
Complying with OSHA labeling requirements:
ANSI/ASME A13.1 specifies that labels should be placed on pipes:
Adjacent to all valves & flanges
Adjacent to all changes in pipe direction
On both sides of wall, floor or ceiling penetrations
Every 50 feet on straight runs of pipe (or every 25 feet in congested locations)
ANSI/ASME A13.1 specifications recommend the following color codes based on the type of hazard that could created by hose or pipe's contents. These recommended color codes are:

The color scheme chart above is based on the ANSI/ASME A13.1 color code system which uses six predefined colors and four user-defined colors to identify various pipe / hose contents. Please consult all applicable safety codes, regulations, and local policies used by your facility when selecting the color scheme for your Gnarly Wraps™ Pipe & Hose identification sleeves. There are no refunds, returns or exchanges for customer mistakes regarding color schemes or labeling text.
In order to ensure visibility, minimum label and text sizes are required, based on the hose or pipe's Outer Diameter (OD).
The minimum label and text sizes for pipe labeling is also defined by
