Safara-Tex TM
Textured Automotive & Marine Upholstery Vinyl
Safara-Tex is a high quality, durable, 100% virgin
vinyl (Not made from recycled scrap vinyl). This
material features a beautiful, highlighted,
embossed top grain leather pattern, backed
with a knitted polyester matrix for added strength.
The Polyester matrix allows Safara-Tex to stretch
up to 25% in one direction, while preventing
nearly all stretch in the other direction; great for
easy, sag-free upholstery jobs. Also excellent for
stylish "70's retro" backpacks and duffle bags.
Safara-Tex was designed
primarily for
Automotive and Boat Upholstery; this material
meets or exceeds Federal Motor Vehicle Safety
Standards for Flammability (NHTSA FMVSS part
571, Standard 302). Safara-Tex is also
waterproof, resists cracking down to 10F below
zero, and can be easily
cleaned with mild
soap & warm water. Available in 11 classic
colors that will compliment nearly any
automotive or boat interior.
