These Special "D" Rings have a specially shaped contact area that adds strength and limits movement of the snap-hook for more stability and slightly less noise than regular "D" rings. "D" rings are commonly used on luggage as a mounting point for straps and accessories that utilize snap-hooks for quick attachment or detachment, or as a tie-on point for cords and lines.
