Ripstop Fabric
This Silk-iene TM is a very
fine, extremely lightweight, extremely flexible 30 denier nylon
Ripstop fabric, inflatable and kite fabric that is double coated with silicone (one coat of
silicone on each side of the material). Weighs only 1.3 ounces per
square yard. The saturation coating of silicone gives this
material a "Zero Porosity" attribute (no air passes through).
The white is used as photographic ripstop fabric for lighting
diffusers to diffuse light, speading the light from the camera flash
for a better photo; helping to eliminate harsh shadows from bright
lights or overpowered flash units.
The heavy coating of silicone also provides this material with
superior shape and color
retention for years of occasional outdoor use. This is the "Real"
commercial grade material it is the exact material used in "sky
dancer" type inflatable promotion figures. This material is also
used for parasails and parachutes, and will make extremely
lightweight and durable kites. Other uses for this material include
light weight backpacks, tents, hammocks, and tarps. Available in 16 high intensity
colors. This Material
is not approved by the FAA for aviation use. Cut to order in One
